I, someone you may or may not know, am an author. I am having a zoom book look (launch) for my second book, which happens to be my second children’s book, on October 20, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.. A lot of work and fun has gone into getting “A Penguin Family . . . Finding Joy” ready to share with you all. A career coach, book coach, professional author’s assistant/proof reader, editor/project manager, executive chef, illustrator, family, friends and many other people have had a hand in the development of this book. They’ve also had a hand in shaping me professionally and personally. For this, I am thankful. They, who were influenced by their families, friends, teachers and coaches, have influenced the creation my book, the words, punctuation, and illustrations. And with this, the joy and lessons children and adults may garner from looking at, reading, or listening to the reading of this book.
This book emphasizes overcoming challenges with the support of family and community, experiencing joy, and appreciating the awesomeness of nature. Also tucked away in this book are hiking tips which may save a child’s life and a soup recipe to help in the development of their creativeness.
All are welcome to come to my zoom book look. You will get a chance to meet some of the primary people who helped me turn a toastmasters speech into a published book, and all of the characters of my penguin story brought to imagination life by darling colorful illustrations.
I hope to see you on Zoom tomorrow, October 20 at 6:00 PM. Here is the link to my book launch: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81086541800.
Yesterday, my husband and I took a walk on the Loveland bike trail. We hadn’t walked there for a while. Each time we go, I try to walk a little further than we did the previous time. Even though the extra distance isn’t that much, it still gives me pride that I am improving. My goal is to someday be able to participate in the 5K walk/run which is held there on Wednesday evenings.
